In 2011 Steve DeNeff and I co-authored a book called SoulShift. From the beginning our church, our staff, and Steve & I have talked about letting Spiritual Formation “go viral” in the church. Instead of controlling the process of following Christ, we should let it get a bit out of control.
In the process many churches and small groups have remixed and rethought everything we said in the book. A massive amount of resources were published, and continue to be published, including books on each shift. Churches created their own videos, advertising, sermons, songs, programs & everything else it seems.
Along the way I had a secret hope that someday, somewhere, someone would write a rap song about SoulShift.
That day has arrived.
